In order for teachers to get the most out of Stukent CTE, you’ll need to provide us with your Microsoft Tenant ID and approve our connection with your Microsoft products.
To get started, one of your teachers will need to reach out to Stukent CTE support, and we will send a link to them for you to click on.
That page will ask you for your Tenant ID, or Microsoft domain name.
Your Tenant ID will either look like a UUID (for example, CBE880F6-699D-44F1-A258-F3386C73EF84), or it will be your domain (for example, contoso.onmicrosoft.com).
If you’re using the domain option, make sure you’re not including your username in that field. It should be something like contoso.onmicrosoft.com, not something like john@contoso.onmicrosoft.com.
If you're struggling to find your Tenant ID, here are some support articles from Microsoft that may help:
After you've entered your Tenant ID or domain name, click Approve with Microsoft.
Once you click that button, you’ll see a screen that looks something like the following:
Simply click Accept on this screen, and you’ll be taken back to Stukent CTE to verify everything went as planned.
After that, you're done! To roster students from their MS Teams class, your teachers will follow the standard LMS connection flow to connect their Stukent CTE class to MS Teams and roster their students. No further action is required from school or district administration.
After they connect their class to MS Teams, they'll be able to roster students and sync assignments back to their MS Teams gradebook.
Scopes Requested
Here are the scopes we request approval for, and why we request them:
Sign in and read user profile - This is required for the “Sign in with Microsoft” functionality to work. We read basic information (first name, last name, email address) about the user in order to allow them to login.
Read and write users’ class assignments and their grades. - We use this to allow teachers to automatically sync assignments and grades with MS Teams. We do not read, write, or update any assignments not created by our service in any way.
Read and write class assignments with grades - This is a global version of the above. Both are required for successful integration. MS Teams does not allow us to modify assignments from teachers who have not already logged in with their Microsoft accounts.
Maintain access to data you have given it access to - This allows our service to sync assignments in the background, resulting in a better experience for teachers.
Read the organization’s roster - This allows us to read students included in a Team (at the teacher’s request) and import them into our service automatically.
Read all hidden memberships - This is required for the above to function properly.
If you have any questions or concerns about the scopes above, please don’t hesitate to reach out to support for more information.
