How to Create and Apply Class Templates

This article will go over how to create, apply, and share your course templates.

๐Ÿช„Put your hard work to use for years to come! ๐Ÿช„By saving your perfected course as a Class Template, you can instantly replicate your custom content and organization in future terms. Itโ€™s a great way to gain peace of mind and reclaim your time. Plus, you can easily share your templates with fellow teachers in your district to help them get a head start, too.

Please keep in mind:

  • You are only able to share templates with teachers and users within your school district.

  • When creating a course from a template, it will default all the content to inactive.



How to Create a Template

  1. Select your course within your classes in Stukent CTE

  2. Select Class Settings in the left-hand navigation menu

  3. Select General

  4. Select Save As Template

  5. You can select to override an existing Class Template or Create a new Class Template

  6. Select Save Template

How to Find Your Templates

  1. Select My Content in the top menu

  2. Select Class Templates in the left-hand navigation

  3. Here, you can view all your templates and those shared with you.



How to Share Your Templates

  1. Select My Content in the top menu

  2. Select Class Templates in the left-hand navigation

  3. Select the Dropdown arrow to the right of the template

  4. Select Share

  5. Here you can select if you want to share your Class Template with all of the school district or just specific users.

  6. Select Share.

How to Apply Templates

  1. Select Classes in the top menu

  2. Select Create Class from Template

  3. Select the template you would like to apply

  4. Create Class Name and select + Create Class from Template

Alternatively, you can also create a course from your templates in My Content.

  1. Select My Content in the top menu

  2. Select Class Templates in the left-hand navigation

  3. Select the Dropdown menu to the right of the template you'd like to use

  4. Select Create Class From Template

  5. Title the course and select + Create Class from Template.

How do I know where my template is shared and who has shared templates with me?

  1. Select My Content in the top menu

  2. Select Class Templates in the left-hand navigation

  3. You can filter which templates you see from All Templates, My Templates, Templates I've Shared, and Shared with Me.

  4. Any templates shared will specify from whom in blue under the template name. Any templates you have shared will state so in blue under the template name. You can select the dropdown menu to the right of the course and select Share to view who specifically has access to your template.

How do I Stop Sharing My Template

  1. Select My Content in the top menu

  2. Select Class Templates in the left-hand navigation

  3. Select the Dropdown arrow to the right of the template

  4. Select Share

  5. Here, you can uncheck which users you would like to no longer share a template with. This will remove the template from their Shared Templates

  6. Select Share to save.
